In zone 3a, the last spring frost usually comes around May 20 and the first fall frost around Sep 10. Here is when to plant rosemary.
Note: winters in zone 3a are usually too cold for rosemary to survive outdoors. Grow it in a large pot and move it into a garage or indoors for winter.

- May 27: Plant rosemary in the bed
- Aug 15: Start picking rosemary
Hardy outdoors in zone 7 and warmer. In colder areas, grow it in a pot and bring it in for winter.
